Glass Railing Baby Gate Mount Kit

This Glass Railing Gate Mount Kit is a unique item assembled by Babysecure that takes the mystery out of installing a baby safety gate to glass railings. Looks so good you would not realize it was something added to your railing.

  • Kit consists of a wooden Gate Mount, (size 3/4"D x 1 1/2"W x 36"H strip of wood) to which two zinc metal, Brushed Nickel in colour clamps are fixed. (The Gate as pictured is not Included)
  • The inside surface of the clamp is completely covered with a non skid rubber gasket which will secure the clamp from slipping as well as prevent any scratching of the glass.
  • When your gate is no longer needed, remove the clamps and there will be no holes or scuffs in the glass.
  • Clamps are available in other colours such as black, brass, gold, chrome or white. Limited quantities of black are kept in stock. It can be necessary to Custom order the other colours and may involve added time and delivery costs. Contact info@babysecure.ca for this personalized information.
  • The Gate Mount comes standardly unstained natural wood but can come in black, brown or white stained, See below tab for Colour.
  • The position of the Clamps can be adjusted anywhere up or down the Gate Mount to work around handrails or moldings.
  • Gate Mount can be cut to a required height and for safety it should be, so nothing sticks up over the clamp.
  • The depth of the Gate Mount fixed to the Clamps would make the installation surface come 1 1/2" out from the glass.
  • If two glass railings come together at right angles, the Clamp needs 1/4" space to be able to be inserted between them. If there is no space then contact us for explanation about what can be done.
  • Kit contains what is needed for one side of the gate. If you have Glass railing on both sides, you will need 2 Kits. It is also recommended to get an extra clamp for the hinge side Kit. Contact info@babysecure.ca to make arrangements.

WHICH GATE? In almost all cases and especially with Glass Railing on both sides of the opening, the only Gates that have the fixtures which are versitile enough to work with the orientation of the Gate Mount, are the Delux Angle Mount,  Angle Mount Beechwood,  Wood Angle Mount, the Crystal Clear Gates or the Mahogany Wood as also found on this site and available through Babysecure.

WALL SIDE: When the other side of the gate is being installed to a wall, for safety and ease of installation a Wall Gate Mount will help.

SEND PICTURES: Before you order, best to send pictures of your opening and the gate you plan to use. We can get back to you to confirm that the Kit will work but also address details about the location which you may not realize are factors for installation. info@babysecure.ca. Please email photos as an attachment as other forms can have pictures that are either very large or small and harder to view.

WHEN TO EXPECT REPY: We get back to people often within minutes, no more than a day or two. If you do not seem to be receiving a reply, please look in your junk mail or include your phone number (in North America) with your photos.

GATE MOUNT COLOUR: The Gate Mount in the kit can come in Natural Wood or Stained Black, Brown or White. Choose COLOUR below.

CLAMP SIZE: Clamps come in three sizes to fit, MED 1/2"(12mm), SM 3/8"(10mm) or LRG 3/4"(19mm) widths of glass. Choose Size below. (LRG 3/4" Clamps are only available in stainless steel metal and therefore cost more. This size is rarely needed so stock is minimal. There may be extra time and shipping fee for custom order.)

Shipping outside Canada. We do ship Internationally. While the shopping cart will assess shipping costs for U.S. orders, the Automated System regularly overassesses the amount. If ordering from the U.S. or overseas best to send order by email which includes your complete address as well as phone number to info@babysecure.ca  to get the accurate shipping costs. Invoices will then be sent via PayPal who will handle the conversion of funds.

Baluster Post Clamp Kit
  • This Baluster Post Mounting Kit gives you the ability to mount a child safety gate between two wood or metal balusters.
  • It's an ideal solution if you are installing a baby gate where there are small posts. Clamping around two will give greater strength.
  • Each kit comes with a hardware set (one top and one bottom horizontal bracket) and one Gate Mount to which the brackets are screwed.
  • Not for use with pressure gates, unless using Mounting Cups SR12c.
  • Works with balusters spaced up to 6 1/2" wide measuring from the outside edges of one baluster to the other.

Hole Free Gate Mount Kit - wood

Our Wood Bannister Hole-Free Gate Mount Kit allows you to create a flat, secure surface to put up a baby safety gate without damaging your wooden posts.

  • Kit consists of 2 Clamps and 1 Gate Mount. (1" D x 2" W (actual planed size 3/4"D x 1 1/2"W)  x 36" strip of wood 
  • One Clamp is clamped to the post near the top and another near the bottom. They are joined by screwing a Gate Mount to the outside of the clamp
  • The two pieces of wood are pulled straight across from eachother so consequentlly do not dent the posts as other strapping clamping devices may do. 
  • They are custom made to fit whatever size you give us.
  • They can be stained to better blend with the look of your banister post or left natural for you to stain yourself.
  • This solid wood clamp works with square posts.
  • Let us know the width of your posts by filling in the section "Order Comments"  in the order form and we will provide you with the right sized clamp. There will be added charge for clamps wider than 4.5".
  •  Extends 1.5 inches out from the point where the clamp is touching your post.

Comes in UNSTAINED, (picture portrays Kit stained BROWN), or stained  WHITE, BLACK or BROWN  

For the purpose of naming a colour in a box,., Brown is shown on the web site. However we do custom stain a few variations of typical wood colours found in railings. Send a picture of your wood work and we will do our best to use something similar. Also send a picture of the gate you plan to use. There are a few gates, typically retractable, whose fixtures may not blend with this Kit and different arrangements would be necessary.

Hole-Free Round Adaptors

These round adaptor components (arrow points to in picture) insert into the Square Bracket of the Hole Free Gate Mounting Brackets. ( sold separately, see GMKsq). Fits 1 3/4" diametre spindles but can also be made to fit a range within from 1 1/4" - 3" diametre. A unique inner padding protects your spindle from any scuffy or rubbing of its surface. Wall Gate Mount

For security Mounted Gates need to be installed to studs or to solid wooden surfaces. They also are easier and safer to install where there is a flat surface particularly on the hinge side. Gate Mounts are strips of wood (36"H x 1 1/2"W x 3/4" D) which help you create the flat and sturdy surfaces to install gates safely to walls where you do not have a stud or need to work around a baseboard molding.

  • Kit comes with anchor hardware for walls where there are no studs.
  • You can mount the wood directly to the wall as seen or cut a spacer block from it to help you extend out to create a level surface outside the baseboard moldings at the floor.
  • The full Wall Gate Mount length is safer than just a block wood spacer behind the top fixture becuase it keeps the space between the last rung of the gate and the wall consistant. A spacer creates an wider space that could be an entrapment hazard,
  • Gate Mounts install with two holes. Most Mounted Gate hardware involves 4 screws for each side so they help to have less repair work when finished with the gate.
  • Whenever you put up a gate, it never goes up right the first time. The gate mount allows you drill as many holes as you need to adjust the gate properly without worrying about added holes.
